On the second day of the meeting, KATY met with its sister project GenoMed4ALL and other subject-related projects, such as B1MG, BIOMAP, OPTIMA and REVERT for a roundtable discussion on sharing personal data within EU-funded projects. The discussion focused on the topics such as data protection requirements for sharing data in health research, the legal basis for processing of data and roles in data processing activities. The Symposium also focussed on the implementation of technical and organisational measures, anonymisation and pseudonymisation aspects as well as on informed consent in health research projects. The afternoon of the second day was marked by a KATY Jr. session, in which young researchers within the KATY project discussed topics in their everyday research and lab life and connected to each other.
