Grenoble: a unique health ecosystem in the heart of the Alps. The hospital has an increasing medical and surgical activities. Teams striving for excellence. Urology department is headed by Pr Jean-Luc Descotes. The activity is carried out in the field of cancer surgery, urinary calculus, functional surgery of the urinary system.

150 renal transplantation and 50 DVA were performed in 2019. The care consists of medical care with diagnostic explorations and surgical treatments. We have an oncology activity on kidney, prostate and bladder. Several clinical trials are underway in our department.

Role within KATY

We are working in collaboration with the CEA on a project entitled COMBOREIN. This is a preclinical study which consists of analysing the therapeutic response of different drugs on renal tumour specimens. Our participation consists in providing data and followup from patients with renal tumours included in this protocol.
